     Recent Projects - owner's engineering

Grayson Repowering Project

(CP)² is currently serving as part of a project team providing project management and Owner's Engineering services for Glendale Water & Power's Grayson Repowering Project. The repowering project entails demolition of the existing boiler and combined cycle units and replacing them with a 50 MW/200 MWH of Lithium-ion battery energy storage system coupled with 93 MW of large reciprocating engine generators.  (CP)²'s scope has thus far included project management, authoring major portions of the request for proposals, participating in the bid evaluations, reviewing the power island equipment engineering submittals, developing portions of the EPC Contractor RFP, and supporting development of the Environmental Impact Reports.

Kearney Mesa Battery Energy Storage

(CP)² provided project management and Owner's Engineering services for the Kearny Mesa 1 MW/4 MWH Battery Energy Storage project.  This behind the meter installation also interconnected to the CAISO grid to provide energy, demand response, and regulation services.   (CP)²'s scope has thus far included project management, development of the RFPs for engineering and construction, and engineering, commissioning,a nd testing submittal reviews.

RB Inyokern Solar PV Plant

(CP)² provided Owner's Engineering services for a 20 MW solar PV power plant, developing project cost estimates and schedules, and supporting the electric transmission interconnect application process.

ACE Cogeneration Combined Cycle Repower

(CP)² provided Owner's Engineering services for a combined cycle repowering of a coal-fired cogeneration plant.  Services included identifying and assessing potential plant configurations, developing project cost estimates and schedules, supporting the natural gas and electric transmission interconnect application processes, as well as supporting permitting at the California Energy Commission.
